In the 1960s, a couple named Gordon and Alvina traveled extensively across Africa, driven by curiosity and a love for it’s people and diverse cultures. From bustling markets to remote villages, they immersed themselves in the stories, rhythms, and traditions of the continent.
Their adventures, rich with experiences, were later shared
with their grandson, instilling a deep fascination and love
for the continent, its people, and its many unique cultures.
Inspired by these tales, the founding partners of the
agency chose to honor this legacy. Combining the names
Alvina and Gordon, they named the agency Alvi Gordon, a
tribute to culture, connection, and a respect for Africa’s
diversity.
Today, Alvi Gordon is African by birth, heritage, and by choice. We exist to help brands authentically connect with African consumers.
